Memorable gifts from talented artists! |
Good Bye Workshop :(
When you are happy time flies so quickly. I can't believe that the workshop is already ended. This workshop changes my life. In such a short period of time, I've gained so much! I feel like I have drawn for years. I feel like I am a real artist with more confident now.
Besides, I met 3 awesome professional artists from around the world: Sarita from Dubai, Oth from San Francisco, and Yves from Venezuela; they have inspired and helped me a lot during workshop.
In those days.....

In those days.....
We worked hard and stayed up all night together, we played hard and had so much fun together. We had unforgettable memories together. When we got to say goodbye to each other, we felt so sad. I will miss them so much and I'm hoping for a reunion in the near future.
These were sketches I got from Thierry, Bobby, Kei, Sarita, Yves & Oth!
I need to thank Imaginism Workshop for giving me an experience I have never had before! My life is different now =)
My favourite wine with friends + teacher's names carved onto it.

Acrylic Candy Sandree
We were asked to do an acrylic painting on one of our character designs and I chose Candy Sandree! Because of my poor acrylic skill level, that was the best I could do in a week's time. Acrylic painting is way more challenging than digital, this is the reason why the acrylic version looks very sloppy. Anyhow, I enjoyed doing it so much!
Candy Sandree - Another character design
For this project, we were asked to create a candy girl with a disadvantage in her life. Candy Sandree was very weak and skinny but at the end, she overcame her weakness and became a stronger person. I hope Candy Sandree looks skinny and weak enough to you. Did you notice that she's holding a big sword and a shield effortlessly? She became a warrior at the end: "I am skinny but I am strong!"
My Birthday @Workshop
Sketches from my sweet & awesome classmates! These drawings worth a million dollars!!
One of the activities was to visit the Imaginism Workshop and it happened to be on my birthday! I'm so lucky! Look! What I've got!
Peter's demonstrating oil painting @the Imaginism Workshop and yay! I've got one of his postcard with his signature on it!
Great wine, food & game for my birthday!
I had an unforgettable birthday this year! It was very special to me!
Strawberry Boy - My first character design
We were asked to create a garden creature with body parts made out of fruit or vegetable. As I was working on this piece, I thought about my childhood, how I used to bully my younger brother by biting his head and made him cry hysterically. Hurting him wasn't my intention, in fact, I wanted my mother's attention. Same idea for strawberry boy, he wanted others' attention by bullying and doing mischievous things.
Class Life @Workshop
These exercises really pushed me to the limit! Normally I could spend days to work on something. But for most of those exercises, we were given a time limit. If we couldn't finish an exercise within 30mins, we must re-do another one until we got the result we wanted in 30mins! No cheating! For most of the above drawings, I've repeated over and over and over again to achieve the results I wanted in 30mins.
Bobby was giving a lecture
